I am 83 years old and I emigrated from Afghanistan. Many members of my family have diabetes. My vision has decreased as an effect of type 2 diabetes. I have gained weight and I take many medications for diabetes. I take a medicine for high blood pressure and I take many shots of insulin a day. I have suffered a number of heart failures over the years. I also become drowsy after taking my medications and feel tired throughout the day.
I would like to share my stories to all to get more familiar with diabetes. My children have to help me manage my daily routines and i would like to express my difficulties to help others in the future.
